Seahorse - The Trapeze Artist
Seahorse is lever, unpredictable and loves keeping secrets. She is one of the circus stars and feels sorry for Lantern Fish, who is stuck selling his snacks. She teases him about not being as talented as she is – Cheeky Sea Horse!
Dolphin - Ball Balancer
Dolphin is an incredible athlete. She practices for two hours every day! She is talented, sociable and likes to collect colourful balls to balance on
Starfish - Unicyclist
Starfish is one of Lantern Fish’s best friends and is lighthearted, generous, loyal and loves eating sweets. He offers to swap places with Lantern Fish and sell the popcorn and snacks, which he is not very good at. After all, riding a unicycle is what he loves most.
Jellyfish - Juggler
Jellyfish loves puzzles and games. She is quiet and sensitive. She tries to teach Lantern Fish to juggle, but he is not very good at it. She tells Lantern Fish to think of something he loves to do, then he will find his talent.
Crab - Musician
Crab is a talented musician and can play lots of different instruments, whilst walking sideways. He tries to teach Lantern Fish to play the trumpet, but Lantern Fish struggles, so Crab tells him to think of something he is good at, then he will find his talent.
Lantern Fish - Ticketmaster
His friends try to help him find his talent. He makes everyone laugh, he is good at maths, and he is good at selling his popcorn and snacks. Lantern Fish is happy, and his lantern lights up when he realises he does have a talent! Lantern Fish is full of energy, has crooked teeth and a cute smile.
Blowfish - Circus Director
Blowfish can be bossy and grumpy, but he is hard- working and has made the Big Splash Circus a huge success. He puffs up in anger when he realises Starfish and Lantern Fish have swapped jobs. But when the audience likes Lantern Fish’s act, he congratulates Lantern Fish and tells him he is talented at making people laugh and a very good ticketmaster! He loves it when all his new customers are happy.
Sunfish - Set Designer
Sunfish is good at drawing and designs the posters and the beautiful stage set for the circus. She is friendly, but very forgetful. Her tiny fins sometimes struggle with her large paintbrushes and she paints the most beautiful backdrops. She tells Lantern Fish not to give up when he’s looking for his talent and to try harder, as she is only good at painting because she tries so hard.
Mermaid - Ringmaster
Mermaid is very popular, trustworthy and cheerful. She likes being the centre of attention and is very good at speaking in public. Everybody in the circus loves her. She makes an effort to be kind.
Tropical Fish - Acrib
Tropical Fish is charming, loves dancing, and is very self-conscious about her fins. She can be selfish but is a very good dancer and acrobat.
Turtle - Ring Balancer
Turtle is courteous, brave, honest, and always talks about everyone kindly. He practices everyday so he can be an amazing acrobat. He loves wearing a hat, even when he sleeps!
Octopus - Magician
Octopus loves to create magic tricks. He can move quickly and grabs many things at the same time.
